We had the honor to interview U.S.S. Survivor
Mr. Lauren Bruner,
Mr. Bruner's memoir - "Second to the Last to Leave USS Arizona" is a tremendous read. Mr. Bruner is another American Legend and Naval Hero and we are honored that he has agreed to be a part of our project.
On Monday, April 23, 2018, we interviewed Mr. Lou Conter,
a USS Arizona Survivor. Mr. Conter was on the deck of the USS Arizona with several band members when the December 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor began.
In addition to his knowledge of the USS Arizona, Mr. Conter's personal story is simply amazing! After Pearl Harbor, Mr. Conter went on to become a naval pilot and amazing naval career. Mr. Conter rose through the ranks and when he retired from the Navy in 1967, he had achieved the rank of Lt. Commander.
